Catalogue first
We research each sport and build a catalogue of real products from independent reviews and retailer data. AI never invents products — it only ranks and describes products already in the catalogue.
The match percentage
For performance slots, each product is scored against your answers: every dimension (like comfort or power) has a weight from the sport's configuration, and your answers determine how well a product's known characteristics fit. The match % is the weighted average over the dimensions you answered.
Review ratings
For rating slots we aggregate review scores from independent sources and show how many sources contribute. Owner ratings on PlayerEquip are labelled as self-reported.
The weekly judge
Once a week an automated judge re-checks the most-used kits against the current catalogue and problem reports. It can swap a pick for a clearly better candidate — every decision is logged and reviewable.
What never affects ranking
Affiliate status, commissions, and brand relationships never affect scores, order, or the judge's decisions.
